Where our ion exchange resins are used

Ion exchange resins are insoluble polymer materials with active functional groups capable of reversible ion exchange. Put simply: beads that pick up one type of ion from a liquid and release another in its place.

Main types of ion exchange resins

Cation exchangers

Exchange positive ions (Ca²⁺, Mg²⁺, Na⁺, etc.)

Anion exchangers

Exchange negative ions (Cl⁻, SO₄²⁻, NO₃⁻, etc.)

Key advantage — regeneration

Once saturated with ions, resins can be regenerated with acid, alkali or brine. This allows the same resin to be used for hundreds of working cycles, delivering high economic efficiency.
